I was sent an email earlier today and the email listed a couple of occasions where President Obama was speaking and the host site was asked to cover up their crosses. Some people feel betrayed and scared. Whether President Obama is or is not a Muslim I don't know. I do know he does not hold the same beliefs I do. I do think he is very charismatic and people are drawn to him. This enables his agendas to advance without careful scrutiny by the people. This reminded me that we must be diligent in a couple of areas.
1. We must pray for him and all our leaders. He needs Goldy wisdom, direction and strength to stand for what is right and true. He needs to have godly people in his life and area of influence to help him understand his motive to help everyone is good, but the way in which he wants to advance his agenda is flawed.
2. We must engage a great power in America, The Voice of the People. There are levels of all kinds to get involved in. You can participate in your child's PTA, or local School Board. There are plenty of activist groups in your community. Pick an area you feel particularly troubled about and get involved. Volunteer to help on campaign committees, help young teenagers girls who find themselves pregnant, volunteer to help clean up community parks, or run for a city counsel position. The list goes on and on.
It takes a lot to stand up or what you believe in a crowd of people.
Can anyone see you standing?
